Lajeune Hollis Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation
August 2011 at Yale Smilow Cancer Hospital after my 2 surgeries
Hello, and thanks for visiting the Lajeune Hollis Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation page.
The Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation (CCCF) has been working since 2003 to fund screening progams for the uninsured, and provide much needed funds to young investigators who are committed to finding a cure for colorectal cancer.
But first, a little about me: I am a 53 year old African American woman who found out, at the age of 49, that she had colon cancer. A colonoscopy quite literally saved my life. Here is a television interview I did on News 8's "Nyberg" which goes further into it:
My blog post from "The View from Lajeune" (see below) tells the "full story" so please read it when you have some time.
I appreciate any amount you choose to donate, and am so grateful for you just simply visiting my page & hopefully gaining some valuable information about how to fight against colorectal cancer.
Here is a fun way that me and my sisters came up with where you get to donate and 'party with a purpose' aboard the Lajeune Hollis Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation Cruise from June 30th - July 4th 2016.
However, if you choose not to go that route, you can simply make a donation online by clicking on the Donate button above my fundraising thermometer. Remember, your support helps CCCF get another step closer to a world without colorectal cancer.
