Constance M Miller
Fundraising Honor Roll
On November 12, 2013 my mom was diagnosed with Colon Cancer, in one weekend our lives had changed forever. In the days, weeks and months since; we hug a little longer, say a few more "I love you", and we hang the moon on every minute. My mom fights cancer every minute of everyday, she is stronger than I could have ever imagined.
From the initial "news flash - mom is in the hospital", I have admittedly been a complete and total helicopter child - if there is such a thing. Wanting and needing to cater to my mom and dad's every need, which in the marathon of her cancer treatment is unrealistic. I am eternally thankful that she is doing so amazingly well and that I am not often needed, still my desire to actively fight this cancer everyday with her has never wained. I want and need to participate, to fight - to do something everyday that is dedicated to our family beating colon cancer!
So, in a corny and ironically perfect cliche, as my mom runs her marathon of life, I too will be preparing to run my first marathon in her honor, well half marathon. I invite you to join me in fighting colon cancer on May 18th by pledging a donation to the Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation.
The Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation (CCCF) has been working since 2003 to fund screening, awareness, prevention, and research for colorectal cancer.
All my love,
