Help us in the fight against colorectal cancer!
Those that know me know how much my mom meant to me. She would talk about me nonstop to her friends and when people met her for the rest time she would open her arms and home to them as if they where her own. You never realize the trials and tribulations people have to face on a day to day base when diagnosed with cancer. It wasn't until my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2011 that I began to pay more attention. Losing my mom in 2013 changed my life forever and everything I do, I do for her. I participated in my first walk before my mom passed because I wanted her to know I was on her team and that she was going to beat this and have the chance to participate in the next walk with me as a survivor. Even though she will never have the chance to walk by my side I will continue to walk on her behalf. I look forward to having you join my team and walk by my side in Remembrance of Gwendolyn "MamaSterl" Florant.
This year we expect thousands of runners and walkers to gather with families and friends to participate in our signature public awareness event in support of our mission of A World WIthout Colorectal Cancer. The funds we raise allow us to build public awareness of colorectal cancer (CRC) including early age onset of hereditary colorectal cancer and the importance of timely screening and prevention. These funds also allow us to help sponsor prevention programs in and around New York City including colonoscopy screening efforts for the uninsured and under served.
It is easier than ever to donate right here online. If you prefer to mail your gift to CCCF please make your check out to the Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation indicating my name and team name on the check and mail it to:
